2 . The average nose produces about a cupful of nasal mucus every day!
On average the normal nose produces 240 millilitres (about a cupful) of mucus every day. During a cold there is additional flow. Most of the mucus produced normally flows down the throat, and gets recycled within the body.
3 . The body has 2.5 million sweat pores.
There are more than 2.5 million (up to 4 million on some people) perspiration glands spread out all over the dermis layer of the average person’s skin. A sweat gland consists of a long, coiled tube of cells. The coil is actually sweat ducts connecting the gland to the pore or hair follicle on the skin’s surface.
4 . Every minute you shed over 30,000 dead skin cells.
you really can’t see it happening, every minute of the day we lose about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells off the surface of our skin. So just in the time it took you to read this far, you’ve probably lost about 40,000 cells. That’s almost 9 pounds (4 kilograms) of cells every year!
5 . On average you fart enough in one day to fill a party balloon.
On average, men fart 12 times a day while women fart seven times – in portions of 30 to 120 millilitres. The total is the equivalent of a blown-up party balloon.
