DR CONGO:FARDC Task Force established a base against M23 in Nyangezi area

The Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to make every effort to prepare for war. The Burundian Army of the Battalion, which was mixed with the Congolese Army (FARDC) and given the name Task Force, set up bases in the South Kivu suburb of Nyangezi in order to prepare for moving to North Kivu to confront the M23 group.

These forces established a camp in a region known as Musho, and they intend to establish a second camp in Sinalac where an electrical dam has been constructed. This information additionally confirms the soldiers’ desire to set up further bases in the Businga region, higher up in Marango of Nyangezi near Ngomo, where there is a camp for the Congolese army run by Colonel Simeon.

The FARDC troops in Ngomo will be removed from there right away and transferred to Nyangezi Center.

In accordance with additional reports, more significant Task Force bases have been established in the Kamanyora area of Walungu Territory in order to find a more effective strategy to combat the enemy.

Our eyewitness proceeded to tell us that further Burundian soldiers, combined with DRC forces, have arrived in the Minova region from which they will travel to North Kivu to engage in combat with the M23 rebel group.

The fact that the Burundian army continues to approach North Kivu is to fulfill the agreement of President Félix Tshisekedi and Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, with the aim of helping the RDC forces against the rebel groups that oppose the regime of Félix Tshisekedi and those who call they engage them in war.

At the beginning of this month of September, it was said that these Burundian soldiers have already signed an agreement with the DRC army.
