Rwanda First Lady arrives in Burundi ahead of key women leaders summit

The First Lady, Jeannette Kagame, arrived in Bujumbura, Burundi in the morning hours of Monday, October 9, where she is expected to participate in a high-level forum of Women Leaders, Burundi’s office of the First Lady has announced.

Jeannette Kagame will be joining other high-ranking women leaders, at the invitation of Burundi’s First Lady Angeline Ndayishimiye.

Established in 2020, the high-level meeting aims to, among others, discuss efforts towards good health and nutrition for women, children, and adolescents through resilient and sustainable actions.

Jeannette Kagame is expected to address the forum on Monday, according to her office.
