Rumaga is planning his debut concert.

Junior Rumaga, a prominent poet today, has already declared that on May 14, 2023, he would organize a concert named “Mawe Album Concert.”

This is the first concert that this young man will perform after beginning his poetry journey two years ago with the help of several artists and others.

Throughout his journey, he demonstrated the strong growth of poetry and featured in significant performances, including the concert in praise of the Hero held on January 31, 2023, at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village known as Camp Kigali.

Rumaga informed kigalidailynews that he chose to have his debut concert on May 14, 2023 after consulting with individuals who will assist him.

It is a performance intended to publicize a volumes of his poetry named ‘Mawe,’ which he just put on several art trade platforms.

His forthcoming album contains ten tunes, including “Mawe,” “Narakubabariye” with Bruce Melodie, “Kibobo” with Juno Kizigenza, “Umwana araryoha” with Riderman and Peace Jolis, “Mazi ya nyanja” with Alyn Sano, and “inyana yinyange imara agahinda.”

“Intango y’ubumwe” with Buravan, Bull dogg and Mr. Kagame, “Evanjiri II” worked with Alpha Rwirangira, “intambara y’ibinyobwa” with Rusine and Rukizangabo and “Komera mukobwa”.

This poet claims that he will perform alongside other poets from other genres at this concert.

“It (concert) is intended towards the public release of the album ‘Mawe,’ which will feature some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry, some of whom have yet to be announced,” he revealed.

The event will take place on International Mother’s Day, which is observed on May 14 each year. Rumaga claims that the concert will facilitate  family interactions.

“…Families are invited; bring their children with them since the Day is theirs,” he remarked. Is this one of the things you give to your child to show  how much you love them, give to your mother to show her how much you love and concern for her. Give it to your house, where you may reconcile with them.

Aside from poetry, Rumaga is one of the most underrated songwriters, despite having written some of the finest songs ever.

He has written several songs, including ‘Katapila’ by Bruce Melody, ‘Urankunda’ by Juno Kizigenza, ‘Bimpame’ by Phil Peter and Marina, ‘Amashu’ by Chris Eazy, ‘Nibido’ by Christopher, ‘Identinte’ by Emmy, and several others.
