The way APR FC opened the match, dominating for the entirety of the first half, made it clear that they wanted all three points from the contest.

From the opening minute on, APR FC outperformed AS Kigali. In the first minute, Byiringiro Lague scored off a pass from Niyonkuru Ramadhan after trying to slip by the defenders to steal the ball from him.

Despite a few missed opportunities that might have resulted in goals, APR FC continued to dominate the game as the first half came to a 0-0 deadlock.

The second half of the game was a significant turnaround from the first, when AS Kigali attempted to play in search of goals.

Nshuti Innocent and Manishimwe Djabel were substituted for Mugunga Yves and Anicet Ishimwe as Coach Ben Moussa attempted to make adjustments to the squad.

However, while continuing to control the game like it did in the first half, APR FC kept missing the target.

Coach Ben Moussa continued to look for solutions on the bench of the substitutes, bringing in Mugisha Gilbert and removing Niyonkuru Ramadhan shortly after removing Byiringiro Lague and replacing her with Faith Alain “Bacca.”

APR FC dominated the game, the defense of AS Kigali was restless and scored a goal in the last minute of the game with a strong shot by Mugisha Gilbert.

A draw with AS Kigali makes APR FC stay in fourth place with 21 points equal to Kiyovu Sports, second AS Kigali has 24 points while Rayon Sports has 28 points and is the temporary leader of the league table.

In the past 11 meetings, AS Kigali won five matches, drew five while APR got two wins.
