FA will outlaw betting advertisements on Club’s jerseys

As part of the government’s ongoing review of the existing gambling laws, the league, its clubs, and the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport held consultations before making the announcement.

The Premier League will now be the first sports league in the UK to voluntarily take such a step to limit betting advertising.

After reviewing the gaming laws, the government is anticipated to release a white paper on gambling.

The Premier League was expected to accept a change willingly, therefore the government wasn’t expected to suggest prohibiting gambling sponsorship.
