Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, spoke about the position of Bernardo Silva from leaving for Barcelona, and the deal of Gvardiol for the Citizens, before facing Arsenal in the FA Shield.

Guardiola said during the press conference for the match against Arsenal in the FA Shield about Barcelona’s interest in signing Silva: “I don’t want any player who does not want to be here, I want to work with people who want to stay, but we need an offer, and so far we have not received any offers, if they want to talk to our sporting director, so far he has not received any official offer for Silva.”

Guardiola continued on the return of his assistant: “Juanma is the best assistant in bad moments, you have to look for people close to you in bad moments, in good moments I don’t need anyone, all staff and players are happy to see him again.”

Manchester City announced the return of veteran Juanma Lillo, as a second coach to the coaching staff led by Spaniard Pep Guardiola, after a season of taking charge of the Qatari Al Sadd, after he was present in the technical staff between 2020 and 2022 and during this period, the team won the Premier League and League Cup titles and reached the Champions League final, which it lost to Chelsea.
