Recent Grammy Award winner Alex Cuba releases ‘Agüita de Coco‘ featuring Butera Knowless
It’s a song Butera Knowless said that they worked on in conjunction with Mighty Popo who made music for a long time in Canada.
This man, who was already acquainted with Alex Cuba, came to listen to Butera Knowless’ songs, and the other liked them as well, so they immediately decided to collaborate on a song.
“We met through Mighty Popo, he was the one who made us listen to our songs and he wanted us to work together. He sent me a song called ‘Agüita de Coco,’ which I sang in that vibe.”
Butera Knowless is heard singing in a traditional style that she has combined with modern music in this song, and she claims that she chose it because she wants those who listen to it to know that the singer is from Rwanda.
Alex Cuba is a major artist in South America and Canada, where he currently resides.
He is 48 years old and moved to Canada in 1999 after getting married, joining his brother Adonis to form the Puentes Brothers.
The group had an album that competed for Juno Awards in 2001, but it didn’t last because everyone split up in 2004 and began working on their own music.
Alex Cuba has won four Latin Grammy awards out of five that he competed for, while saving the Grammy Award he won in 2021 after four years of trying to win it.
It is an award he won thanks to his latest album released in 2021 called “Mendó” which won in the Best Latin Pop Album category.
