Elisa Mwizerwa, a young player, has secured his future with Rwandan team Sunrise FC by agreeing to a two-year contract extension. The 20-year-old right-back’s original contract was set to end on June 30, but both parties have reached an agreement on a new two-year deal, ensuring his presence at the Nyagatare-based club until June 2025.

Mwizerwa expressed his ambitions, stating that he aims to solidify his position in the team and compete at the highest level by playing numerous games. He believes in his abilities and hopes to earn a call-up to the national team, as it has been a longstanding dream of his.

The rising star of Sunrise FC, who is also studied in University of Rwanda Biology and sports, was recruited by former coach Moses Basena during the 2019/2020 season after catching his attention during a friendly match.
